Michael is the Co-Founder of ReCode Therapeutics, an LNP delivery platform company. Michael transitioned an academic project into a VC-backed company, raising $280M over two years (Orbimed, Colt Ventures, and Vida Ventures, among others). He is a business development expert with a deep network of buy-side and sell-side contacts.

Additionally, he was their VP of R&D, overseeing the planning, budgeting, and project management of 3 therapeutic programs and several discovery projects. Michael earned his Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Cancer Biology.

He recently joined Texas Medical Center as an entrepreneur-in-residence for the CPRIT-funded Accelerator for Cancer Therapeutics. This program provides in-depth support to faculty working toward developing and commercializing oncology-focused assets.
