# What are my responsibilities when holding VITA tokens?

VitaDAO’s success depends directly on holders of VITA tokens regularly voting on proposals. Voting on proposals requires the token holders to understand the proposals and effort on the token holder’s part. Voting, and gathering knowledge on the subject of the vote, are responsibilities of every VITA Token holder.
